I watched an interview with Kate Moss and she said a motto she once has was "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" which then inspired me to write this poem.
Hope you enjoy :)

The mantra tattooed around my wrist
The words in magnets on my fridge
Scrawled in books and on my walls
To help me if I’m going to fall
Off the path that I’ve set down
If I’m going to shed these pounds
Then starts the voices in my head
Whose whispers fill my heart with dread
When stepping on the scales I hate
To see that I’m not losing weight
I feel it growing, my frustration
When it seems my thinspiration
Isn’t working…
But then I see the voice is right
In the mirror I see the sight
The Fat that’s taking over me
The Fat that’s infecting me
The Fat tendrils of poison spread
Infects the other people’s heads
But I’m not stupid I see it tries
To taunt me with their beautiful lies
“Come now, dear, you’re far too thin
I see your ribs through your skin
Your waist has shrunk, it’s barely there
Nothing left on you to spare
But listen close ...
Hear your heart, it's beating fast
The doctors say it will not last
Through the purging and the starving
Through this crazy fad dieting
Well done, love, you’re a size zero
Just like your greatest heroes
Now, please, while you're still on top
I beg you, will you stop?"
But I don't listen to what they say
Still insisting that I weigh
Myself each and every night
I will not give up this fight
Still skipping every single meal

Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels
