You do not get the way I feel
And I do not expect you to
I only try to show my best
Show that I only have good intentions
But you do not understand

Maybe one day you will
Learn what it is like to be burned
What betrayal feels like
And how when someone lies
It makes you rethink everything else they
Have said before

Maybe then you will understand
That sometimes love and caring
About someone is not enough
NO, I can never forget you

I fell for you
Sad to say
But you did not feel the same
I wrote all these poems for you
Can you not see how much
I care
I do not want to leave
But baby you are no good for me
If only I could shed your dead weight
Then I would not have to feel the
Way I do now

If only I could shake this addiction
Then I would not have to keep
Coming back for more
More pain, lies, and disappointments
Yes, I know I deserve better
You never were a true friend to me
But you are my heroin
My sick one minuet
And the next....
I am in love once again

I need a 12 step program
Designed specifically for me
To help erase bits of you
From my memory
To break my addiction
From this abuse
