What stands the test of time? What changes in appearance but carries the same message? What is the most powerful and useful tool we have as humans? The answer is so simple, words.

We are still reading words written centuries ago. Writings of stone dead authors, poets, and playwrights are still read and rehearsed today! We see writings on stone, paper, and even on the internet. Writings of playwrights such as William Shakespeare have been so largely spread and republished. Ask anyone in the Untied States who William Shakespeare is, the chances are that he or she will likely know of him or his legacy. Shakespeare lived from 1564-1616, or did he? Is he not immortal due to the popularity of his words? I believe that he is.

Language is always transforming. We don't speak the same English that was spoken when this country first began. With time, we modify language. Do I believe that it is better than before? Not in every case. People morph language for their own use and purpose. Some people shorten words and phrases for convenience. Others expand their vocabulary for more intellect. Whichever you are, your words create you.

Words are powerful. Depending on intent, one single phrase of words constructed correctly has the power to tear someone down or lift someone up. Words can persuade, compromise, and decieve. The power of words is infinite.
