lonely

there was a girl
who had a smile
you could always see
even back a mile
she had that spirit
that joy
and that courage
to be the greatest
and let you hear it
cause she had a temper
oh boy did she ever
and always so timid
surprised, but she nevr
put anyone down
or was the "queen bee"
but there were some things
that you couldnt see
like her fear
and her hurt
and her inner thoughts
she wa always lonely
and felt rejected
by freinds and by peers
and wasnt protected
from those silet words
she thought everyone said
like judging how she looked
or how smart she was
she was nice to everyone
but these people never noticed the fear in her eyes
of how alone
and scared she was
they never saw it
and they never knew
how much she wanted
just to be liked
to be pretty
and popular
and have way more friends
so even though she looked so happy
read the eyes and the heart
before you truly know someone.
