Silence creeks inside the old house
Once the sound of little laughter had plagued here
I miss those days

The porch swing glides back and forth
As if ghosts were playfully pushing it
The door bell still gleams

A spider web encloses the door handle
I shake away my fears and enter

Nightmares spin around my head
But not mine
The past has awoken and they are angry

They run riot
Hissing and Screaming till their throats are strained
They ask me why
I have no answer
Just that i am here to make amends.

I sit and cry
No one hears my tears fall
Except for this home sweet home
