The heart is not a door;

You can’t come and go freely.

If the heart was a door,

It would be a locked door:

Only opening to those

Who have the key.

But the key is for those

Who the heart holds dear.

Not just for anyone,

But the one of its desire.

Love is a word

That’s used a lot these days.

But do we truly love

The things we say we do?

Love is indefinite;

Though it has a meaning.

But the meaning is for those

Who experience it.

Only then can someone know

What it means.

We all have love,

But it is love?

Is it the 'true' love you find

In fairy tales and movies?

Do we get our happy ending?

Or are we robbed

Of our heart?

In the end,

It all boils down to this:

The heart is not a door;

You can’t come and go freely.
