Awe
I am washed by this light of fate,
And I can sense your pull—
Worrying that one day,
It will become a shove.
The night wades deeper into the
Mists of time
As I remember an entire moment with you,
And I realize your feelings are true.
The gently poised
“I love you.”
Often hurts in the throes of everyday
Life.
Tides of dust become the only
Substantial particle of
My past,
Yet I remember you through it all…
The beauty of your aura
And the emotions it evoked in meeting.
Cherishing each word
As if it were pools of precious silver,
I lay in the midst of bathing light
An unwanted darkness cannot pervade.
I can see your face and your heart;
This is where I push you away.
I hope many things for you.
That you may you find closure one day.
