3/14/06--Always feeling like I was on the outside looking in, I wrote this. I was in love, and simply felt nothing in return...at least nothing whole-hearted. This was my frustration.

Lovers of Loneliness
Finding beauty in denial,
The cold erupts from a bitter stare
As dust-ridden steps away lead to the
Corpse’s heaven of two hearts.
A wrath-filled corridor is
Filled with the heavy silence of once beating hearts
As the Seraphim’s choir is cast into remnants
Of shadow.
Tender loneliness kisses the still scene,
And it fills the eyes of a paradise beheld
With sorrow—
A mourning of catastrophic intent and ingratitude.
Frozen lilies line the shore of destiny
With the air of remorse
As they bleed in the setting sun’s scorn,
And are held captive to perceive this daily death—
An overwhelming reflection of my heart’s own situation.
Singing to the violent waves that ride the storm
Does the soul some good
As the eyes are lost in the sea of words that hold
Such essence,
Yet are buried by the desert sands that shift on the wind--
On indecision.
The vibrant echoing resonance of loneliness is hidden from you--
From all—
Until I choose to fade from this world.
Amen.
