This novel will consist of a coma patient and an extreme investigation into what caused her house to explode. This is just the prologue, but more will come very soon.
You will later see that just because a person isn't responsive does not mean they aren't aware of what is going on. What if that person could reach out to the world in ways beyond speech?

The Awakened Dreamer

Submitted: November 25, 2011

This is a part two to the sequence of events. New characters are introduced as we leave the others to fend for themselves for a while.

The others are not forgotten, but the story has come away from just a small town--it's gone across the world and is going to blossom.

The dream state is the most powerful in this novel--the unconscious is what reaches to the world and changes it.
There is a sense that we are all dreamers and we can all change things, but in our own ways.

Yet, unconsciousness goes by different rules and that is what may bring nightmares to the waking world once again.

Previously:
This is going to be for a mature audience, as intended. The scenarios are intended to build and develop character motives while also showing the reach of consciousness that has occurred in the victim via Mortiky. Other characters have been introduced in this chapter but things are a bit more terrifying.

This whole story is about the reach of the unconscious and how it can terrify every day lives, but yet give great hope as well. Dreams are the fabric of the hopeful spirit as well as the fearful.

So, Mortiky (also compared to death) and Shekinah (the unconscious, broken, impulsive, and creative energy of the story) join worlds through touch and dreams. This web that starts small will create a story that intertwines belief, denial, superstition and medical science. I supremely hope that you find this intriguing still.

Happy trails! Read Chapter
