You’re Dead
You’re dead
You’ve left me here alone
To mourn your very passing
And cry till the tears come no more
I loved you more than life
Yet you’ve left me all alone
To mourn in silence
And try to carry on
I cannot mourn in public
To them you’re just a friend
You’ve left me all alone
Your lover till the end
I nursed you through the pain
I thought we’d made it through
Then you go and die on me
I don’t know what to do
My very heart is breaking
I’ve got to carry on
I promised you I would
But I don’t know if I can
A rose I set upon your grave
Single and red
You’ve left me all alone
Oh God, you’re dead
