Years of preperation
now my days are filled with temptation
I filled you with hope
and here I stand alone
I'll look you in the eyes
tell you nothing but lies
I'll take my independence
now I'm failing on my own
No need to tatter or ruin
your o' so perfect appearance
I don't think of you
when I'm filling my fix
This time I'm failing on my own
I'll scream
shout
fight
and run
It's my life
I'll fail how I want
I left you behind
like my outgrown clothes,
someone else can have them,
they don't fit me anymore.
This time
while my back is turned
I'll waste my time
spend my money
I'll drown you out
like the silence I feel around you
and the dreams that have gone bad
The first time
your eyes were closed
But this time
I'll make you see
I'm failing
and now there's nothing
nothing you can do to stop me.

I like how this is about someone holding you back from doing something that would normally be a good thing to be held back from. But you turned failure into a commodity. haha very well written
