Something I needed to get out of my system. I know you may never read this but this one's for you kiddo. I miss you.

I suppose it wouldn't make a difference
If I told you I missed you

and I'm sorry
for making everything an issue

but I've learned from our time apart
we are born with nothing
and Here is where we start;
wrapped in confusion
pushed by a beating heart.

Now I see the past,
how it affects the present;
filling my conscious with memories reminiscent.
Remembering how I always felt omniscient
and how I search for a love persistent
but what woe I feel now you're distant.

My heart aches to be given,
to a sense of perfection it is driven,
'tis a lust most unforgiving.

For if happiness is found in the moment
my moment has lost its way
because I'm thinking of how you made me feel,
more than I do today.
