This is a sample, done in poetic form, to my current work in progress, Question Marx: Searching for Answers. I'm not certain if it will be a short story, a novella or a novel; I just have to see where the story takes me.

The sky was dark and deep
I saw as I woke from my sleep,
I hear an ever flowing creek.

I feel the grass, I feel the wind in my hair,
I notice my flesh is bare
but of insecurity, I am unaware.

The tree standing behind
it's blue leaves brightly shine,
there is a sense this tree is mine.

A woman to my side
with wings stretching wide,
I know she is my guide.

The angels voice was deeply sublime:
"This tree, it is your paradigm
and the creek surrounding, the current of time.

The branches extending, the lives to which you've connected,
the shining leaves, the memories they hold most protected
and back into the creek, you are now expected.

But with your faith you've altered your fate
you've been awarded a higher state,
to the peace you desire, there is no more wait."

She removed the shackles from my wrists,
away I began to float without chains resist,
With a smile I broke apart and became one with what exists...
