My head looks bare to others

But in the mirror I see them there

Pricked and listening intently

The right my soul demands

Denied to the body that I possess

For now. This is what I am

An arctic wolf hiding in this skin

And though outside to you

I am simply a human girl,

To myelf a broken puzzle

Missing the pieces that made me whole.

It's all gone and been replaced:

My ears, my tail, my paws and fur

Disappeared and hiddden away by

My entire body that is not mine

Along the way I am lost and alone

My tail, unseen by you, swishes

Through the winter air behind me

My paws replace the hands beside me

My face that is not my face overlaps

The muzzle I'm meant to have.
