The woman in the glass

She stares right back at me

The shape I see is just all wrong,

Her body is not how it's meant to be.

The way she balances on two legs

The black marks on her face,

Put there by her strange paws,

'Round her eyes, painted into place.

This creature in the mirror,

How she stares back at me

The concentration in her eyes

As she desperately tries to see

That the body she sees before her

It is hers, it is mine...

This is me.
