This poem talks about the stereotypical fear of being rejected and the sad resignation and regret of not telling someone how you feel. You become obsessed with the reasons why you can't tell them and therefore become obsessed with the person as well.

Can't you see me?
I'm right here.
You're so far,
Yet so near...
Look at me!
I want to whisper In your ear,
the words 'I love you'...
But how can I,
With all this fear?
It's too late now...
You run through my veins now...
Like an infection...
