pop, pop, hiss, hiss.

I listened to the sounds of the roaring fire on that early March night. It was just me and you.

I was growing irritated, with you. I kept turning to you, waiting for a responce. All that I got was

the image of you slumped over in the chair that I had inherited from my father. Your head is

turned, slightly to the left, facing the turntable. You're in your own world, just you and Mr. Frank

Zappa. You have played "Sofa no. 1" no less than six times. Your index finger on your left

hand is touching your lip, your legs crossed at the ankles.

"Frank, give him back to me!"

Let me kiss you.

Let me kiss you.

Put me back into your body, comfy on the sofa. Comfy on the sofa. But, instead,

you're thinking. You're thinking of everything.

"Do I want her enough to be with her forever? Tell me, Frank. Give me a signal from the heavens."

I want you. I want you.

I walked over to where you were sitting. I sat under your foot, still comfy inside your fancy,

brown shoes. Neither of us said anything. I just grabbed your foot.

and held it.
