Mewithoutyou inspired me to write this piece. The words in parentheses are things that are said over the original vocal track.

Hope that clears up any confusion.

Oh, one more side note: this was originally called "Time."

My pills take the memories away of what it was like (to be so dead inside)
Your eyes are so hollow it's like cold steel with a hint of formica.
Just once I would like to know,
What it's like on the other side of the car crash,
Or what it's like to feel so surreal and subliminally in decline.

It was a matter of time (before it started)
It was a matter o life (and the clock keeps ticking)
It was a matter of moments, and love, and hate, and now it's all a big blur.

You've got your hand on my heart,
Don't you feel it? Don't you feel it?!
I want so much to believe in something beisde the tele.
Just press your face against the glass and look down at the ants,
Those are human beings, you were once one of them but now you're soaring higher above.

It was a matter of time (before it started)
It was a matter of life (and the clock keeps ticking)
It was a matter of moments, and love, and hate, and now it's all a big blur.

[Bridge/Ending]
Tell me, how am I suppose feel?
Tell me, everything I ought to know by now.
Tell me, what's it's worth and what is right.
Tell me, everything I ought to feel by now.
