I couldn't think of a summery for this for some reason so...THIS IS MY SECOND POEM. I don't think this is a good one but I tried so...Enjoy? ALSO, I made an old poem like this last year but I threw that paper away so I had to "recreate" this piece and to be honest...This was better than my old one. I would appreciate it if you actually read it than just skim it. THANK YOU.

Whispers grew louder outside my head

As I ran with chills sent down my spine.

They warn me that no one was here to save myself

Is everyone else going to be fine?

My eyes saw nothing but the darkness itself

And my hands felt a slight breeze.

My voice was silent and with no one here,

It was just the shadows versus little old me.

I heard my heart beat louder than a drum

As I quickly ran away.

The darkness wanted to come

And it wanted to stay.

It continued to chase me

Like it was a cat and mouse game.

It kept on taunting me

By calling my name.

Creepy spiders on the walls,

Moving snakes on the floors.

Red warm blood everywhere

Even on the brown doors.

I try to stop and think

To think of a plan.

My whole body began to quiver

So I just ran and ran.

This nightmare had begun but not for long.

A dead end in front of me has made myself less strong.

Someone that lights up or someone that can glow

Has to save me and my life like a superhero.

Suddenly a beam of light shot faster than a gun.

The dark shadows wanted to shun, shun, and shun.

Then they faded and disappeared out of nowhere.

Guess who won that game fair and square.

With the help of the light, I wouldn't have been alive.

Without it, I wouldn't survive.

It saved my life, it saved my whole heart.

I guess I needed it from the start.

Everything got bright and gave me a smile

While the shadows run away mile after mile.

A ringing in my ears started and it made me shake.

Next time I knew, my eyes were open and I was wide awake.
