No one can change you. Only life can help you change (Naturally) rather than your friends or your family. Don't just think. Know that it's a mistake that you'll make someday.

You think you can change me?

Well, you thought wrong.

I'm dumb? Sure. I don't have honor classes. But I know I'm not dumb.

I'm fat? Sure. I eat a lot. But I know I don't want to be some thin, stiff person.

I'm a liar? Sure. I sometimes lie. But I know that when I'm honest, you will hate me more.

I'm too sensitive? Sure. I cry. But I know that crying doesn't make me weaker.

I'm immature? Sure. I'm always immature. But I know I'm a kid at heart, a teen between my eyes, and a future adult in my brain.

I'm annoying? Sure. I talk to you a lot. But I know that I'm annoying just because I want to be friends with you.

I'm weird? Sure. I AM weird. You are too. You and I both know that.

People may want to change you into themselves so that they can actually like you more. But you can choose to stop. They won't force you. No one can. Only you can decide if you want to change. But remember this. Always be yourself. Don't be someone you're not. Because if you become that someone, no one will understand the real you. If your friends can't handle the real you, they're not your friends. Ignore the fact that they're wanting to change you. Make some new friends, will ya? They're not worth changing. And everyone makes mistakes. And if they can't understand that, they're not worth it. They should understand that they're them and you're you. That's all.

I want to hug someone now :,3 Your words move me in a good direction friend... It kind of makes me sad that some people choose the path that others want and not what they want. The thing you said about friends is true; if they cant handle the real you and try to change you, they're not true friends. Keep writing

Once again another astonishing poem that left me thinking about the subject. You're amazing at making people see through all the negatives and notice all the positives. :D ~Wonderful Job~

stranger in the corner

an astonishing tribute to "The Self". after all if you cannot be yourself, then who will be you?

If I cannot become myself, then I'm just some person has no identity at all. XD Thank you for the kind words to my poems. C: I just have to say that. XD

I enjoyed this poem, especially the part about 'crying doesn't make one weaker' and 'a kid at heart'. This was an enjoyable read and it was well written; thanks for sharing:)

This is a very nice poem. It makes a person realise that you must just be yourself, no body can make you change who you really are. If a person can't accept you at your worst then they don't deserve you when you are at your best. Your message is fantastic and it is hard to write a poem like this but you did it. Great job :)

Sometimes, when people want you to change, they have your best interests at heart. For example, when people want you to exercise and lose weight, it's because they know the health and lifestyle problems that can result from obesity. This is a self-help poem, pretty much, derived from personal experience (Teen Angst). Change's a part of life. We're not static characters in a storybook.Your poem's Simple, perhaps a tad too simple for me, sorry.
