(Trust me; it’s a very short story!) Sometimes Little Fiyre, who lives in the woods, gazes at the night sky sometimes. When a small cloud covered the moon, he feels it shows bravery. Fiyre also thinks he can be as brave as the cloud, which ultimately kills him.

The Little Cloud

Pure darkness of the sky, the moons shine awoke me. I got up and stared at the sky, the stars whose twinkle reminded me of heaven. The fading ring around the moon, it felt like it was trying to speak to me. I admired the little cloud, which was, in front of the moon.
The cloud, whose bravery to waltz into the path of the moon, inspired me. I too, would waltz in front of the moon one day, to show my bravery.
Thank you little cloud, for showing me what to become. The image of you is forever burned into my memory. Now I wait for the moon to arise again.
Tonight, the moon is gone. Chilling winds fly through the trees, whistling a song of the unknown. The memory of the little cloud came to mind. I will never be afraid of the song, the whistle song.
Half the moon floats into the sky. The rustle of fallen leaves murmurs along the ground. The whistle song came, after came a pair of yellow eyes. The eyes burned their hungry stare into me. The little cloud came to mind, I had nothing to fear.
Now the moon, at its crescent, leaves me with an uneasy feeling. I yearn for the moon to light the sky. The howls of wolves cut the whistle song. Remembering the cloud, I stand my ground, even though I know it may kill me.
Now my bravery, which was awakened by the little cloud, had killed me. I had learned that even the cloud must run away. I should have too.
