Status: Finished  |  Genre: Poetry  |  House: Booksie Classic

there always seems to be far to many conflicting voices, thoughts and ideas jostling for room in such a small head.

Deep inside I look and peer

At all those things I’ve always feared

Voices lurking, shadowed faces

In all those dark forgotten places

A part of me they’ve all become

Round my heart these faces slung

thoughts my own have all abated

Any memory with them faded

I try them on, each in turn

my face, my heart, my soul they burn

Once a single shadow sat

At my feet alone and flat

Each misdirection that I steer

Adds to this darkness growing here

they’ll never leave and ever stay

Until I find the light someday
