Another free-written and edited short story. Fight in an old dojo. I don't know what else is going on, you can decide for yourself. Have no idea what genre this falls under, I originally put humour but I don't think it's funny enough for that.

I blink the sweat from my eyes and study the figure in front of me. He's about 6 feet tall and so broad it's a wonder he made it through the doorway. He's not fast, but he's got stamina, I'll give him that. He's got balls too, thinking he can just come in here unarmed and and take over my? dojo.

 Brave or foolish?

 Overconfident or accurate?

Inwardly I shudder, though I give no sign of my fear outside. I can't afford that. It's ridiculous anyway, impossible. Only my greatest students have a chance. In a team.

He broadcasts the cobra strike from a mile away. I block it with ease, then realize with a painful jolt in my left side that he had meant to distract me. 'Who's overconfident now?' his eyes ask, as if he had been reading my thoughts. A smirk creeps across his previously disciplined face.

I watch his hands and dodge with effortlessly grace, keeping my guarded eyes away from his smug ones.

"How's the family?" he suddenly asks. I ignore the pitiful attempt to throw me and instead analyze the meaning behind it. If he's trying to swagger and get me off balance, that means he's failing and desperate. Taking advantage of his obvious weakness, I kick his teeth in, striking faster than he can see. He staggers back, spitting out a tooth, blood trickling out of a corner of his mouth, his fists now feeble as he raises them to block rather than to attack. The biggest change however, is the fear ringing his eyes.

I laugh at him and say, "You were never going to take over here, sonny! Do you think they let an old lady run this place for no reason?"
