Mouse to a cat

I feel the emotions surge
Beneath very folds of my skin
I can feel my blood boil
I can feel my head freeze
The complex mix
Of the emotional fix
Is tearing at my soul
Piece by piece

My eyes burn
My head spins
My heart races
And stops,
And tick-tock’s
Tick-tock

I feel helpless
And hopeless
Awaiting my doom
That may never come
Or may be on its way

I’m a mouse to the cat
I Never know if the cats waiting
I Never know if the cats wanting
Always feeling,
Fearing,
The Anger
The pain

I feel free, but locked up
Loose but tight,
Smooth but rough,

Black but white
But white
But white
