I walk out,
In security
As my guard is around me.
I only let my eyes be exposed
To allow my path to flow

I cover myself, my head,
My body, even my toes
In my modest clothes

I protect myself
From winks and stares
From perverts and unworthy eyes
Their thieving eyes
Their thieving eyes
Trying to steal a pleasure
From my riches
My beauty, my riches
My beauty, my wealth
My beauty is too precious for them
Is too precious to be on sale
My beauty is priceless

Just like
Nobody walks around
Wearing all their wealth
Or makes a museum of their riches
They don’t flaunt it on the streets
They keep it safe and away from thieves
Keep it locked
Under guard

Like a jewellery set
So that it may not get damaged
Is preserved in a box
To keep it safe
And free from harm

My guard protects my beauty
My guard protects me
With my guard, I may roam about
Fearlessly, confidently
Because my guard will protect me

You may call it oppression
I call it genius
To cover,
To protect,
To keep safe

To feel free
