a selfish vulture

took all the feed

even ate

the dead friends neck

feathers aside, red ooze

pink flesh, still warm

it did not matter

the dead remains

would not awaken

and tear at the vultures soul

it did

it thought

with another snap

another bite

a chunk of meat

with red gravy

a pecice of breast

ribcage exposed

torn bits

of flesh and meat

of little bits

would not regrow

nor be replaced
