Deep contemplations

derived… from despair’s cove

imaginations spiraling

in decent

slow…

ever so slow.

Closed eyes… so tight

eyelids and eyelashes

did collide

trying

to

forget.

Cleansing of

inexorable failures…

plaguing, in incessant floods

futility makes one

sink like rock

journeying to

ocean’s bed

… wash me.

Seductions

luring the proclivities

fooling naivet

temptations instigate

obsessions

reducing dignity’s ministrations;

the virus seems enraged.

So I stand in the shower

once again

wondering…

life

what is left?

or is it bereft…?

my feelings

do descend

just like that droplet of water

caught by the shower curtain

slowly descending

as I watch…

ensconced and

entranced.

A leaking trail

left behind

… fate ends in

drains

or

in evisceration’s

clutches

and claim.

…Somehow

hope

still

... lives.
