A brush, a whisper. Something so little holds so much. Time slows down as her blue lips part, silence shattered like an icy diamond by a simple gasp. The blackness is suddenly darker, suddenly colder, as she hits the icy marble floor; it is as if she is a candle and her flame has gone out. Crystalline hair flies, and the small, uttered sound is swallowed by the slap of her body on the floor. The year upon my cheek freezes, and I know she is dead.
