Status: Finished  |  Genre: Historical Fiction  |  House: Booksie Classic

I really cant figure out what genre this would fall under, but this was a creative writing passage I wrote in my literature class.

"For life"I yelled as my army ran forward into battle. I heard the screams of terror as I watched my men plunge their swords into the enemy, and their armor became drenched with blood. I unsheathed my sword to join my men; it was a cold morning, the grasses were still covered with frost and the sun loomed ghostly on the horizon. The day had barely begun and yet there were already cries of battle here. I stood near the center of the battle field; the only woman, sword in hand, fighting for my life just as my men. "Surrender!"I heard my brother yell as he plunged his sword into the enemy's throat. I can't recount all the events of the battle; for things went too swiftly, but there were many battles before this and many after, but none quite so horrendous as this. I could feel my blood pumping as I narrowly dodged a spear headed for me. I plunged arrows into my attacker and watched him fall, and victory was ours.
