Carousel

Thinking I’m different but look the same.
Stuck on a pole top to bottom glossy ceramic and lame.
Going round and round up and down on the same surface but never touching the ground.
Able to dream about becoming a real horse and jumping off to experience the real course.
But those bolts are too strong should have known I’d be here all along.
Because I was all alone in this dream I had and stuck in the nightmare I was given.

The Carousel was the only chance I ever really had of living.
