my turning thoughts

Turning thoughts

Round and round I go

On the same merry go round

It’s always the same people

Round and round they go with me

But they don’t seem to notice

What is happening?

The world begins to fade

And all that’s left is this merry go round

Round and round we go

My train of thought never changes

Just the same few things

Go round and round in my head

never leaving me with the answers I need

so round and round I go

round and round on the merry go round

I feel the numbness

I feel the insanity

I feel the world slowly disappear

I can’t seem to focus

What’s right?

What’s wrong?

Round and round I go

Round and round on this never ending merry go round

I can’t seem to shake this feeling

Can’t seem to get off this scary ride

So round and round I go

Feeling dizzy

Feeling sad and anxious

This is my life

Round and round on a merry go round

Round and round I go

Please make it stop

Maybe I’ll fall off

It’s time to stop the merry go round

And sort out this crazy mess

So now they go round and round

Round and round on the merry go round

Maybe they’ll fall off too

But till then they’ll keep going

Round and round

Round and round the merrry go round

Like I said today, this is great *does happy dance at being the first one to comment*. It's true and I can relate to that which is something a lot of poems lack. Good job :) :) :)

This was so amazing. SO DAMN GOOD.
One can easily relate to this one. The flow of the poem was beautiful and it was so realistic. The message of the poem could be easily conveyed because that's how it goes, life is a never ending merry go round and we have to keep up with the pace, balance ourselves and there are time when everything's blur and we lose our vision, that is our mind. But you you wrote it so beautifully! Loved this poem :)
