Stuck in a Doorway

By Ash Victoria ©

A Hollow echo fills this room
Your fear of protruding
Is your incessant cry of silence,
I lay motionless, thoughts heavily circling my mind
My eyes search for their lips to move
They wear nothing but the dark cloak of silence,
This is profound, but the game we play goes round and round
Like the evanescence of a morning mist the silence vanishes and we’re just left to sit
Yet I flirt with these fiery flames
I consider at length whether or not to extinguish
The whispers in the dark are the only thing that fits
They supply what I yearn for
Your deepest feelings are in restraint
For I can’t pretend
You ask and you implore but the silence still remains
And so I wander through the shadows still
They suffocate my every need to feel
I Resort back to the confines of my cave
Crashing into consciousness
Love, Hope and Faith will carry me
For I retain,
My Heart mind and soul will lead them the way
