Whatever Bough that breaks

By Ash Victoria ©

She basked and she glowed in her Ephemeral dance
A step, a smile, a glance, a perfected stance,
she proceeds to bow gracefully
She dances for love and she dances for pain
She’s striving, aching for something to gain
She craves to entertain
She embraces her rhythm
Eurythmic movement
But with intricate steps,
They do not dismay her

The prowess of her nature, exhibits her essence
She dances until dawn is upon us
She eloquently raises her arms to the sky
No matter what branches may sway
Through the rain and the through the breeze
She twists and she turns, mandatory to sustain
She demonstrates an innocence
An epitome of beauty
A tall naked flame stands to attention
With a sudden light
Imagination wild and beguiled

Benevolent she reaches out
With her sensual touch
But remains to be ignored
Through the years and through her tears
She wants to synchronize with the rising of the sun

Her chrysalis has hatched
They will realise they shall see
She will be loved
