this is about a pony my parents bought me then sold him behind my back. still miss him

'The piercing whinny haunts my dreams,
But I cannot go to his side.
My legs will not obey my head
It’s like they have been tied.
I wake up later sobbing
And slowly turn my head
To look at the dusty old picture
Hanging next to my bed.
My only love has been taken away
and there’s nothing i can do,
I wonder what he is doing now
And if he remembers me too.
