I have eyes to see,

ears to hear,

feet to walk or to kick,

fingers to grab, scratch or to touch.

A heart to beat,

a memory to keep,

seeds to reap.

I have thoughts that could bring me to jail,

an instinct that will pay bail,

truths that´ll hit you like hail,

well and of course a liver that´s destined to fail.

A mouth for talking and kissing,

an entire body, hoping that nothing is missing.

But where´s that switch,

the one you trigger to be able of sleeping,

the one that keeps you from weeping.

Could You be so kind to show me that button,

the one that will get the monkey off my back,

the noose off my neck.

Well thank you so much.

I never thought that this button was so close,

right there,

in this prose.

I hope this means I´m getting close.

Closer to the truth,

closer to immortal youth.

No, you´ve tricked me again.

The monkey is off my back now but

the circus is still in town.
