Promise Me We Will Be Friends Forever

A lot of my friends have graduated, moved, changed schools and I might have to leave some of my close friends too. So I guess it just got me thinking and I tried to put some of it in a poem.

Friends should be forever.

Friends should never leave,

Friends should stay together.

Friends Forever.

A phrase we use so lightly,

It's something you say,

to the person you love.

It's something you write,

in your bestfriends yearbook.

It's something the people I care most about say to me now,

"We're friends forever, we're to close to lose touch."

And what happens to those weekends

we had sleepovers are spent?

The night when we stayed up late

IM'ing have gone and went?

Soon we'll trade emails every few years.

We'll soon be the dust gathering in our memories,

A picture we'll find in later years, a picture that will bring us to tears.

I know you love me, and you know I love you too

but these thoughts that I'm losing you,

they leave me brokenhearted.

I know we'll make other great and wonderful friends

that'll be as close as you and I.

But just promise me that what I think isn't true

and honest and truly we'll be friends forever...

Hugs and kisses

First, I REMEMBER THAT PICTURE!!! WEEE! Second *sniffles* I PROMISE I'll keep in touch. You'll get to hear all about High School and then College and THEN we can write for the same TV show!!! We'll go to each others weddings and everything. Oh yeah. That reminds me. We need to finished the hugeamundo MASH game. Today. Yes. Today. Anyhoo, I'm going to miss you so so much!

Oh yeah, this poem is super good and made me all afraid that I'm going to lose touch with everyone. I liked it so so much. Too bad you didn't mention Prom Night in there. lol.

I still remember my high school friends and tried to keep in touch, but i don't know why she got so busy and forgot me....
It's okay...i still love her....and so many others too like
Mayuri, Rachna, Ektaa, Dinesh, Amit, Soni and so many of them....
We studied together for 7 years...
But there are two of them who are still with me - as my brother and my well wisher - VIKASH and Vinesh...

And through orkut, i got so many high school friends back....

So many years, so many memories and such a lovely poem...

That's very true, even if my friends and I lose touch and some of them forget me I'll always love them for the time we had together. Thank you for commenting!
