A letter

Dear Love,

Hi.  How are you? I'm fine.  Alone right now, but fine.  I've moved in and feel
relatively settled.  Some things are still scattered about the room but I have
time to rearrange.

I've been thinking.  About that night.  The one when we were freshmen.  You
remember.  The mountains.  The snow.  The quiet.  The softness.  How new and
fresh everything was.

We walked the enitre campus.  Talking sometimes.  Just taking in the beauty
other times.  Once in a while joking around too.  In front of the Fine Arts
building pretending we were statues.  Calling from the railing, "Where fore art
thou Romeo?" and swooning.

What I remember most though.  My favorite part.  Amidst all the silence and
freshness.  How calm and comfortable I was.  How I fit in your arms.  How I
was never cold when you held me.  It might have just been the early stages of
frostbite, but I believe it was really the first time I truly loved you.

I remember.  I hope you do too.

Anyway.  I'm just sitting here.  Thinking about us.  I hope all is well where you
are.  I will always love you.  Never forget that.

Love,
Spence
