This is a poem about stock car racing videos.

The video man, the video man, he's the man for me,

He puts it all on video tape, for all the world to see,

He doesn't wear an official shirt, or make an official call,

But he better be on that S.O.B., when the sucker hits the wall,

He sits up there on his perch, high above the crowd,

Sometimes even way up there, the engine noise is loud,

There's another camera man down, who's in the heat and dust,

He runs through the pit to catch his shot, and does what he must,

A blown engine or flat tire, body parts are gone,

The camera's on the pit crew, will they take too long,

There's a wreck right there at the finish line, another in turn three,

Which one gets the most video tape, is strickly up to me,

It's all the same wherever you go, Tri-Cities or Pocono,

The camera's on, is there enough light, to finish up the show,

The video man, the video man, he's the man for me,

He puts it all on video tape, for all the world to see.
