The Calgary Flames puts Jaromir Jagr on waivers
Things are quiet around the National Hockey League this weekend because of the All-Star event in Tampa Bay, Florida, however, there was a big news regarding the Calgary Flames earlier today.
The team has put five-time NHL scoring champion, Jaromir Jagr on waivers.
This is really no surprise to hockey fans.
Jagr has just a goal and six assists in 22 games this season.
Jagr hasn't played since December 31, 2017 and was put on the Injured Reserve list on January 14 because of a lower body injury.
Jagr is second on the all-time point list, (1,921 career points), next to Wayne Gretzky who has 2,857 career points.
Calgary has an overall record of 25-16-8 and is 6-0-4 in their last 10 games.
Update: Jagr cleared waivers yesterday.
