LIES OF LIGHT

WHAT WE KEEP IN THE DARK COMES TO LIGHT.
NOT A DIM, NOT A GLIMPSE, BUT EVER SO BRIGHT.
FOR WHAT WAS SAID THAT WAS NEVER TRUE BECAME SO REAL
AS THE LIES OF LIGHT HIT THAT ASS LIKE STEEL.
FOR THE WORDS ARE MEANINGLESS AND ACTIONS EVIDENT
AS WHAT WAS ONCE SACRED NOW INVADED OUR COVENANT.
BEFORE, DURING, AFTER ALL FALSE
TRUTH FAR FROM THE MOUTH HOLDING BACK AT ANY COST.
TONGUE NOW SOUR, NO LONGER SWEET OF SPEECH
LIKE A SERPENT IN THE TREE PLAYING THOSE TRICKS ON EVE
BUT THE LIGHT WILL ALWAYS SHINE AS TRUTH WILL PREVAIL.
IT COMES OUT WITHOUT EVEN HAVING TO TELL.
