poem about liking someone turns into not liking them

Like a sea where the water is not clear,

Like a scary movie, with every scene portraying fear,

Not knowing what is to come, caught off guard,

Making a choice of not liking not so hard,

For what was seen what was not expected,

Once remembered now only to forget it,

For the perception was not a figment of the imagination,

Only to dim the like with each demonstration.

I liked it, but somehow I think the penultimate line slows the poem down a bit too much. Shortening it, may improve the flow towards the end.
