A Friendship


Two Strangers


We are alien to each other,

indifferent, uncaring

not looking at one another.



Yet, by chance

We happened to meet


We brushed against each other,

Brief, yet everlasting

And in that action,



We looked upon the other before parting.



Now, I seek your face in a crowd of strangers.

I know you do the same

I want to know your face better

And get to know your name


Is it fate, or merely luck?

That we chanced upon each other?

Now we are inseparable,

Two friends.
