A tribute to the good Dr. of rhyme...

(I wrote this as a dedication to Dr. Suess, & the "Reading Across America" Campaign)

Have some Pizza, call your friends...

Let's have fun 'til party ends...

Unexpected Dr. Seuss;

Came around & he let loose...

Bring your children here today...

Say some rhymes that they can say:

You know how to read?

That's good...

Give in to your need;

And write, you should...

The best one ever, so they say...

Was "Old Dr. Suess, at that word play...

To go on a limb & write on a whim;

With practice today; You'll write just like him;

With practice, you know; Just turn on the juice...

Then away you'll go... Just like Dr. Seuss...

Don't let it end, or walk out the door...

Just keep it going, help us make more...

(It's true that if you go to the Campus at the University of California at San Diego, --{U.C.S.D.}-- {My daughter said it means the University for Children with Social Disorders, which is potentially a much bigger compliment than it sounds...}, there is a statue & a tribute to a wonderful man who did much while alive to add to the literary pleasure of a good book...] I would seriously suggest going back & reading something silly that he wrote, since it will put a smile on your face & a chuckle in your laugh, & then let's us all acknowledge him & the impact that he made on children, & the pleasure with which we can all read a book... Thanks for your contributions & your comments, especially if you want to get a bit creative & give a tribute of your own to this Great Icon in American Literature...) Thank you for your time... This way we're truly "Reading Across America & the Whole Wide World".

So to begin with I've read a couple of your poems and it's really really good and through reading this I've finally considered you as one of the great poet here at Booksie. Also Dr Seuss is one of my favorite author since I was a child. Since you made a tribute poem for him this really brings back so much nostalgia for my childhood and sometimes I would really sing along with his Jolly poems like what I did when I ready this poem.
This poem is really great I'm really always amaze by the rhyming words you give to your poem which really suits the theme of it.

Ha, Ha! This is very much like the good old doctor I knew from my youth. He was free and stylish and very un-loosed. HIs words did bring a whole lot of laughter, from the very first read and through our ever after. I can say with all fervor his trend will not end, but goes on 'til forever beginning again and again.
I'd love to continue this rhyming all through this post, but I'm reviewing it for Archia's forum for she is the host. You've done very well to get these words down. So, I'll leave you with this thought. It was a good read and I am no clown. lol.
A very nice homage to the best rapper to ever put words to paper. I believe he was the original rhyming fiend. HA, HA, HA!
