My heart it was in pieces
Oozing there on the floor
Running into all the creases
That didnt belong here anymore
And its soaked into stone
Left a stunning crimson pool
Reminding me I am alone
Reminding me im the fool

 

My heart it was ripped out
At my own zealous command
And you can have no doubt
It was done with my own hand
I stammered for an instant
As I pierced the bone and flesh
I remembered being an infant
I remembered what was left

 

My heart it grew weary
Holding out on an old whim
My soul became so eerie
So full of hatred and sin
I died nearly every morning
I died and then woke anyway
I died and I got sick of scoring
I died in every light of day

 

My heart no longer beating
As I look at it upon the ground
All the good is only fleeting
Its only the bad that sticks around
And I will die here if it lets me
I will curl up and fade to black
But something always gets me
Grabs hold of me pulls me bac
