To some it’s all about the money

Keeping a close watch on the economy

To some it’s all about the dollars

So they lie, cheat, and steal from others

But it’s not what makes the world spin around

Cuz one day it’ll be there and the next it can’t be found

Those germy old papers don’t define your status

Why does it seem like life and death to us?

I know, it’s cuz it pays our bills

We slave for it and then pass it on in our wills

And it buys our water, shelter, clothes, and food

And without the cash out future doesn’t look good

But perhaps life is about people and good times

And not about the currency, pennies, nickels and dimes

Money shouldn’t be our god cuz it’s merely a tool we use

But many don’t agree so they accrue major issues
