There were several zombies partying on

Do-Well Park and Preserve. They drank only the finest fermented fluids- bile and blood, and ate only the most decadent Grim cuisine, being the fad diet was all the rage for health conscious zombies. It was a silly thought that they'd like something like human brains- that was cannibalism and just as taboo as it'd be for you and I.

No, they slurped steaming bowls of pig brain noodles, stuffed themselves with winter rolls, gorged on salty eel eyes, popped wasps on toothpicks, a stinging finger food.

Zombies had a pungent sense of smell and their dedication to cooking foods showed this.

So engrossed are they in the dining, they don't notice the harsh shuffle through the woods, until a man falls forward into the party, halting all festivities.

He reeks of blood and looks a terror. A man, a living man! Failed to have turned and reeking of it too! The offensive pheromones of the living and their unturned bodies made them kin to walking spirits of the past. Why had he not died and come back?

Silence hangs heavy as the zombies stare, some pig brains slosh back into bowls from gaping mouths. The man raises a hand, thrown to the ground, he begs for help.

But the zombies all scatter into the night with screams of terror. They tell authorities about the incidence but no one believes them. Living People were superstitious- and disgusting- figments of the past.
