The leaves fall from the great oak tree, one leaf at a time and so did my tears, and fears of the class bully. Feeling hollow, and alone leaning on the trunk of that old oak tree, staring gloomily at the fresh blue skies. The wind blows softly, sending a chill past my tear stricken face, and then I heard a stifled cry, on the other side of that great big oak tree. Much to my amazement I found the class bully weeping because she wanted to be someone's friend. Even though we were enemies and it seemed that it would always be that way. We became friends and that big old oak tree was our secret hiding place and on rainy days we would sit up in that old oak tree and get soaking wet. There was a day not long ago whe she fell ill and pushed me away, afraid that I would be scared and think that she was a freak. Once again, I was sitting under the oak tree watching the leaves fall softly, my tears subsided and I remembered the vows we pledged eight years ago. She was my confidence, my best friend...The skies were clear and bright...such a sad day, gone were the leaves of that grand oak, and gone was my best friend....
