I dream of me
Sitting on dew soaked ground
The sound of strangled bird calls
echoing through the thick set trees
the light sleeps restlessly on the dark green lake
and there she stands

her black hair held back by a dead white rose
I watch as she sways
I watch as she bathes
I watch as she silently
drowns knitted babes
her pale reflection dances as she stands like a stone
her thoughts of purity and innocence
thoughts that forever mirror my own

I fell in love with that girl in the lake
with such beautiful madness behind her eyes
I walked to her and held her close
I kissed her lips as her rose fell

Now forever more
she holds her knitted doll
