Musings over morning coffee.

(Sorry if it's a bit rough, but I wrote it in my head in about 5 min. It's also the first thing I've written in over a month, so I'm just grateful for even the tiniest visit from good ol' Inspiration!)

Sipping comfort, swallow it down,

Warming both my heart and mind.

Peace slips slowly down my throat

And bathes me in a radiant glow.

Close my eyes, savor the taste

Of a moment snatched to be myself.

Drink serenity into my hectic world.

Please teach me, if you can,

To savor life in its every nuance,

As I do this soothing cup.
