The Universe is a self-quantifying process with quantitative symmetry across levels of construction from the micro-scale to the macro-scale, and into the domain of biology.

Science is not simply a process of the accumulation of information. As Thomas Kuhn pointed out in The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, science also involves the invention of paradigms. A paradigm is the perspective we use to organize and interpret the information that we observe and collect. Theories exist within paradigms. A paradigm is not tested as a theory is tested. A paradigm is tested through being applied. Establishment physics is based on the premise that mathematics and measurements are required to understand the nature and process of the Universe. Establishment physics is an abstractionist paradigm (AP), and is limited in its capacity because it's not a truly fundamental perspective of the Universe.

My premise is that the Universe can be best understood as a self-quantifying process of construction through the convergence of quantities that are made of matter and that function and evolve. This process finds specification as numbers and arrows on an hierarchical structure that I call the materialist paradigm of physics. (This structure can be accessed at the following web page: (1) The materialist paradigm represents the quantitative symmetry of process across levels of construction, and both describes and predicts what the Universe can construct. The paradigm as a whole represents the process of those material things, so that it's the specification of any one thing and everything. At the micro-scale of physics the quantities represent units of matter as a process of absorption and emission, where particles and wavelengths are constructed from emission and where energy is made of matter. At the macro-scale level they represent planets and stars and galaxies. At the biological level they represent the entities which constitute the environment and the discipline of biology.


I conducted an investigation into what we observe and how AP physics interprets what we observe. This begun with the simple electrostatic experiment. When I rubbed a glass rod and placed it near a suspended pith ball it attracted the pith ball. AP physics sees this attraction as the result of dislike or opposite charges. This begs the question of how dislike or opposite charges can cause attraction. I decided that the attraction was caused by the pith ball absorbing emission from the glass rod. This means that dislike or opposite charges are objects of different, or inequivalent, levels of emission and that repulsion is caused by objects pushing away from each other due to their equivalence of emission. This also means that the space between the objects is composed of the emission of those objects, and is not a vacuum. Nature abhors a vacuum, and so does the wider Universe.

As everything in the Universe is subject to attraction, I decided that everything absorbs and emits as a product of its existence. It then occurred to me that all attraction from the micro-scale to the macro-scale is result of the absorption of emission, whether it be between sub-atomic particles or planets and stars or galaxies. From this flowed the following observations. Objects absorb and emit via their emission which involves a field that extends beyond the object. The emission field of an object falls off in density with the distance from the object. Not all the emission impacting upon an object would necessarily be absorbed by the object so that objects would be subject to impacting emission. As emission would be composed of matter all objects are either increasing or decreasing in matter at a particular moment in time. Objects are either a state of absorption exceeding emission or emission exceeding absorption. For objects to absorb and emit they must have internal structure. This led me to see the Earth absorbing emission through its emission field and into its core via its poles. Finally, I decided that the Universe must have a groundstate of absorption and emission and rotation because I had realized that the big bang theory was wrong.


A favorite measurement of AP physics is the speed of light. This is often referred to as the speed of light in a vacuum. Light is part of the spectrum of emission and the vacuum of space is composed of emission. Emission travels through interacting with emission. It's the convergence of different levels of emission which is measured as a wavelength. The time that it takes for emission to travel through emission is dependent upon the density of the emission through which it is traveling. Other than in a context of uniform emission, such as at a given distant above the Earth, the speed at which emission travels through emission varies. The idea that light has a uniform speed and that it can be used to measure cosmic distance is wrong.

When we observe the emission from galaxies it appears as increased in wavelength. This is equivalent to it being shifted to the red end of the spectrum. This red shift is seen by AP physics as a Doppler Effect and indicative of the galaxies accelerating away due to the Universe having begun with a big bang. AP physics also claims that the greater the extent of the red shift the greater the distance that the galaxy has accelerated away since the time of the big bang.

When the big bang theory was proposed back in the 1920's, one astronomer dared to disagree and proposed a "tied light" explanation for the red shift phenomena. Essentially, he was saying that as emission traveled across the Universe it increased in wavelength as it dissipated. The name of this astronomer was Fritz Zwicky. He was right.

During my investigation I considered Quantum theory. This theory is based on the observation that emission (energy) is emitted in discrete packets or quanta. It is "quantized". The theory does not ask how these quanta are "quantized", it merely states that they are. It was at this point that I realized that "quantization" was the process of the construction of quantities through convergence. The emission from an object converges with the emission impacting upon the object, within a context of a density of emission, and this results in the construction of a given quantity of emission.

I then turned my attention to Relativity theory. This theory sees time as an independent dimension. Time is not an independent dimension, or an independent thing. Time is a measure of duration of a real material thing.. This is either derived from the inherent rotation of the groundstate as it becomes realized in the motion of the planets within the solar system, or it's a measure of mechanical action, or a measure of the absorption and emission of matter. When an atomic clock, which is a measure of the absorption and emission of matter, is placed at a distance above the surface of the Earth it will show a time that is slower than another atomic clock placed on the surface of the Earth. This is due to the difference in the density of the impacting emission and not the difference in the motion of the clocks as claimed by Relativity theory. The emission of a distant star being bent as it passes the Sun is due to the emission interacting with the emission field of the Sun, and not curved space as claimed by Relativity theory. This bending is the same as that which occurs with a particle in an electromagnetic (emission) field.


The Universe is infinite in space and time. Everything in the Universe is constructed from convergence and this begins with the construction of elliptical galaxies from the groundstate. The other galaxy types are derived from the elliptical galaxy.

The groundstate is represented by the top of the paradigm, and is the "quantum" or micro-scale of the Universe. This entails absorption and emission, and is represented in detail across levels [1] and [1] and [2]. Absorption sees the groundstate move up levels of construction, while emission sees it fall back levels of construction. This results in pulsation. The groundstate also involves a dissyemmetrical duality and inherent rotation, so that it oscillates and pulsates. The inner most core of everything is the groundstate.

The groundstate can also be represented in general as (2) at the top of the paradigm. The emission from galaxies impacts upon the groundstate from all directions. 4---->[1]<----(2) represents the impacting emission in convergence with the emission of the groundstate, where 4 represents the four basic types of galaxies and (2) the emission of the groundstate.

From the groundstate elliptical galaxies are constructed through the absorption of emission within a context of the increasing density of impacting emission. The Universe is the ultimate matter recycling process. With level [1] as the beginning of an elliptical galaxy, the increasing density of impacting emission is represented by the outside numbers of the paradigm. The absolute difference between 4 and 7 is 2, meaning the retention of of two units of emission. As the elliptical galaxy grows the units of emission themselves grow in accordance with the paradigm. This is the process of nuclear fusion, and involves pressure and not heat as the is assumed by AP physics.

In its early stage of development, an elliptical galaxy is below the visible part of the emission spectrum. Through continued absorption of emission, the internal structure of the galaxy becomes increasingly dense as hydrogen is formed. This can be represented on the paradigm as (1)---->3<---(0) at [2], where 3 is hydrogen, (0) the groundstate, and (1) the impacting emission. This is the construction of stars within the galaxy.

If the emission impacting upon an elliptical galaxy decreases in density, the galaxy will gradually dissipate.


Nuclear explosion is the result of the density of the impacting emission increasing to the point where the constituent parts are forced into a state of equivalence of emission, so that the explosion is a multiple repulsion and separation event.


Within the context of a star as "one thing", the paradigm specifies its process from the absorption of emission, the emission working its way to the groundstate within the star, working its way back to the surface of the star, and then the emission leaving the surface of the star.


Hydrogen can be seen as level [2]. which shows (or predicts) the existence of a fourth possible isotope - "quadritium". At the level of the construction of a single atom, 3 is the atom as a density of matter (emission) and 4 it's emission. Helium as 4 at [3] has 7 possible isotopes. Lithium has 11, Beryllium 16, and the rest of elements follow as number of possible isotopes represented by the outside numbers on the paradigm, culminating with 4372 for Uranium. All the possible elements and all their possible isotopes and compounds are described/predicted by the paradigm.

The elements add up in a systematic way. Beginning with Helium as 4 at [3], the elements combine by progressive addition and subtraction: (4+7) - 2 = 9 as Beryllium. As the additions progress the subtraction factor increases by one: (7+9) - 3 = 13 as Boron. The subtraction factor can be seen as the ejection of particles in accordance with nuclear fission. If level [2] is Hydrogen then level [93] would be Uranium.

As Hydrogen can be 3 at [2], and Oxygen 25 at [9], this means that water would be 31 at [10]. (5)---->3156 is the symmetric representation of the evaporation of water. 56 would be the water vapor in the atmosphere. 25 as oxygen sees its dispersion into the atmosphere as 46. Carbon is 16 at [7], so that (2) ---->1629 it's dispersion into the atmosphere. The paradigm specifies the construction of the Earth's atmosphere.


The spectral signature of a star appears to indicate the presence of the heavy elements, but it actually indicates the symmetry across levels of construction. AP physics observes the spectral signature of iron in the laboratory, and when that signature is seen in the emission of a star they jump to the conclusion that iron must be present in the star. The laboratory is one emission environment and a star is different emission environment. To see them as the same is wrong. The idea that nuclear fusion of a star involves the heavy elements is wrong.

As the emission of distant galaxies and stars charges as it travels across the Universe, it cannot be used to obtain detailed information. Equally, as the emission of a galaxy or star increases over time you cannot distinguish between the brightness and its distance from the point of observation. To be quite clear about the situation, AP physics assumes that the light from galaxies and stars reaches the Earth unchanged and at a constant velocity. This assumption is wrong.


The bursts of gamma radiation detected from all directions in the cosmic sky are fusions of emission emerging from the groundstate and exploding due to the increasing density of impacting emission.


The rate of rotation of a star increases with the increase in the density of the impacting emission.


Gravity is seen by AP physics as being proportional to the mass (the amount of matter) of objects and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between objects, with "curved space" as the cause of gravity. With the materialist paradigm, gravity is seen as proportional to the density of the emission field of objects. This sees "curved space" as a generalized and abstract representation of the fact that the emission field of objects decreases in density with the distance from the object.

AP physics offers no explanation of the cause of the acceleration due to gravity (g). For the materialist paradigm, this acceleration is seen as caused by the fact that the density of the emission field of the object doing the attracting increases with the proximity to the surface of the object.

The fact that objects of different amounts of matter are attracted to the Earth at the same rate of acceleration, is not explained by AP physics. The materialist paradigm explains this fact as being the consequence of the attraction being caused by the absorption of the emission field of the Earth from all directions and in proportion to the amount of matter of the object.

AP physics uses a value called the gravitational constant (G)., that it claims to be a "universal constant". This is derived from the attraction between weights on a torsion balance. This attraction is indistinguishable from electrostatic attraction, because electrostatic attraction and gravitational attraction are one and the same thing.

As gravity is proportional to the density of the emission field of an object, as the density of the emission field increases the attractive capacity (gravity) of an object increases.

With the increase in the density of the emission field of the Earth the measurement of the gravitational constant (G) sees the attraction between the weights on a torsion balance increase in proportion to the attraction of the weights towards the surface of the Earth, resulting in no change in the measured value of G.

The acceleration due to gravity (g), on the other hand, would increase with the increase in the density of the emission field of the Earth.

Only the materialist paradigm can adequately explain the cause of gravity, and give its detailed specification all the way down to the micro0scale groundstate of the Universe.


As the rate of the emission of an atomic clock decreases with the decrease in the density of the emission impacting upon the clock, and as the density of the emission impacting upon the Earth increases over time, the rate of atomic decay must have been less in the past than it is now and must be an increasing on factor.


The only thing of interest to come out of particle physics is the fact that when particles are dislodged through collision they always take a curved path. This is due to them being a structure of absorption and emission and rotation.


The basis of chemistry is the model of the atom, which involves a nucleus with surrounding electrons. For an electron to be attracted to a nucleus without crashing into the nucleus requires that the electron's absorption of emission from the nucleus be balanced by that absorbed from the impacting emission. For there to be individual electrons surrounding a nucleus, and not be attracted to each other, requires that they repel each other and this requires that they have an equivalence of emission within a given distance from the nucleus.


Solar systems are constructed from solar disks. The point at which each planet is constructed is a density of emission within a solar disk. These points decrease in density with the distance from the central Sun. The heavy elements are constructed with the construction of planets.

Our solar system is located in symmetry at [5] and formed with nine planets. The planets have emission fields and these exist within the emission field of the Sun, which in turn exists within the emission field of the Milky Way galaxy.

That part of the spectrum of emission that causes attraction through absorption is absorbed by the planets through their emission fields from all directions, and this maintains the planets in their positions in relation to the Sun.

The elliptical nature of the orbits of the planets can be accounted for through the variation in the absorption of emission at perihelion to aphelion.

Earth orbit of a planet sees its matter increase which results in an increase in its absorption capacity. This increase cause an advance in the perihelion of the planet.

The orbital motion of the planets is maintained by the rotation of the Sun and its emission field, within which the planets are located.

Emission fields have inequivalent bi-directionality. The retrograde motion of some satellites, orbiting in the direction opposite to the rotation of the planet, is indicative of this be-directionality.

The core of the Earth is derived from the groundstate, and this involves a dissymmetrical duality. Both parts of this duality increase in matter over time and this process underpins the precession in the equinoxes of the Earth. This process is said to take 25700 years to complete a cycle. However, the length of a year is not uniform over time. Due to the increase in the matter of the Earth, seen in the advance in its perihelion, the length of a year decreases over time. This sees the rate of the orbiting of the planets around the Sun increasing.


The detectable oscillation seen in some distant stars is not indicative of the presence of planets. It's indicative of the absence of planets. All stars oscillate due to the dissymmetrical nature of their cores, which is derived from the groundstate.


The Earth absorbs emission through its emission field and this is drawn into the core via the poles. The north and south poles entail different levels of absorption and emission, with one being emission exceeding absorption and the other being absorption exceeding emission. The absorption of emission maintains the rotation of the core which in turn maintains the movement of the tectonic plates.


A greenhouse effect is a natural aspect of the process of the Earth. AP physics offers no viable explanation for how the Earth retains it atmosphere. It merely states that the atmosphere forms an envelope around the Earth, and decreases in density with the distance from the surface of the Earth. The Earth's atmosphere is retained in its position through interacting with the emission field of the Earth. The reason that the atmosphere decreases in density with distance from the surface of the Earth is due to the fact that the emission field of the Earth decreases in density with the distance from the surface of the Earth.

The cause of global warming has a connection to the emission of the Sun, directly and indirectly. The indirect aspect is by way of the increase in the density of the emission field of the Earth resulting in the retention of more carbon emissions in the atmosphere. (2)

The solar system as a whole is subject to attraction within the Milky Way galaxy. This attraction is by way of the absorption of emission. If the solar system moved into the influence of an additional source of emission, you would expect an increase in the temperature of the Earth. This increase would decline as the solar system moved out of the influence of that particular source of additional emission. This combined with the increase in the emission of the Sun over time, would result in period in which the rate of increase is itself increased followed by a period in which the rate of increase declines.

Our solar system moving into and out of the influence of additional sources of emission within the Milky Way galaxy, could be the basis for the cyclic variation in the climate of the Earth. Instead of seeing periods of normal weather interspersed with period of extremely cold weather (Ice Ages), it could be make more sense to see the cold periods being the norm and these being interspersed with periods of increased temperature.


Level [5] as a symmetric representation of our solar system would see (1)---->[5]916. Here we can predict that no solar system can have more then 16 planets. This is confirmed with 16 at [7], so that there can only be 7 types of solar system with planets, which gives a total of 49 planets that relates to 92 at [13]. The 92 elements are constructed with the construction of planets with solar systems that are in accord with the paradigm.

We can now see that planets of our solar system as individuals, starting with the Sun at [2], which sees the Earth as [5], so that the identity of 9 and 16 now relate to the Earth and not the solar system as a whole. 16 as the surface of the Earth corresponds to the number of major tectonic plates. These descriptions/predictions are valid by virtue of the consistency of the paradigm.


Construction through convergence also applies to conventional measurement. The act of measuring involves the creation of a convergence between the measurement instrument and that which is being measured. If you measured an individual wavelength, then your measurement instrument would absorb emission resulting in the collapse of the wavelength to a lower level of construction in accordance with the materialist paradigm. AP physics observes this collapse and sees it as representing the inherent uncertainty of the Universe. This is rubbish. The collapse of the wavelength simply demonstrates that there is a limitation to what can be directly measured.


Another mystery of AP physics is the dual nature of emission as both a wave and a particle. The so called wave/particle duality. Within the materialist paradigm, both waves and particles are seen as a constructed from emission with their difference being a result of the manner in which they are detected/measured.

When emission is passed through a slit, it forms a pattern on a screen. When emission is reduced to the point of one particle (fusion of emission) passing through the slit, over time these particles build the same pattern on the screen.

The particles are states of absorption and emission, and as they pass through the slit they pass through an emission field. The absorption of emission from this field cause the particles to be deflected. The angle of deflection is dependent upon their orientation when they enter the field and the strength of the field.


When the big bang theory was proposed, AP physics was desperate for a means to measure distance at the cosmic scale. This desire was so great that nothing which stood in its way would even be considered. This is why Fritz Zwicky was ignored. There are AP physicists today who reject the Doppler Effect interpretation of the red shift phenomena. It needs to be clearly understood that despite all the desire in the Universe, you cannot measure distance at the cosmic scale. Even triangulation using the orbit of the Earth as the base line is of no use.

The psychology of the situation is easy to understand. Billions of dollars of public many is spent supporting a theory. Because billions of dollars of public money has been spent, it's assumed that the theory has scientific merit.


The inside and outside quantities at each level of the materialist paradigm can be seen as "states of relative stability" and "states of maximum construction", respectively. Everything is a level of construction, and exists within a state of relative stability and a state of maximum construction. Each level of the paradigm specifies its parameters of construction. The groundstate is the only place in the Universe that is universally constant. The "universal constants" of AP physics are not universally constant. If AP physics is to use constants then they should explain why those value are constant.


AP physics claims that there is such a thing as anti-matter. This is based on the observation that when two particles approach each other, through attraction, they can explode due to one being matter and the other anti-matter. In reality, both particles are matter and explode due to the density of their emission impacting upon each other. This is precisely the same mechanism that cause the explosion of a galaxy or a star and be specified to the smallest possible knowledge particle on the materialist paradigm. The two particles in this mutual explosion could be be equivalent in emission, because they would repel each other. In the terms of AP physics, one is positive and the other negative. This means that one must explode before the other, and not at the same time as is claimed by AP physics.

The product of this mutual explosion of particles is represented on the materialist paradigm as individual particles and collections or fusions of particles. For example, if one of the particles was 3 at [2] then 4 would be the particles into which it exploded or separated. Explosion is a separation event of what was a fused state.


Biology begins with the construction of the single cell organism. This involves 7 amino acids within the context of temperature and pressure. This finds representation on the paradigm at level [4], where (2) and (1) represent the source of the pressure and temperature. At this level of the paradigm the convergence factors of (2) and (16) would be the environment and the nutrients which would sustain the single cell organism. The environment and the source of pressure, (2), could well be deep in the ocean.

If the paradigm was applied completely up to the level of the construction of biology then the source of the temperature and pressure would be known, and speculation would not be necessary.

The genome as a biological code exists within the paradigm as the materialist code of the Universe. An identify of the number 46 at [9] is the 46 human chromosomes. (3) and (5) are the two stands of DNA, and 25 is the identity of the cause of the recombination of the DNA strands. Pursuing the identity of 25 is the act of doing scientific research in accordance with the materialist paradigm.

Recent estimates put the number of genes found in human DNA at between 20000 and 60000. By tracking 25 to 326, through treating each as a level of construction, results in the numbers. 26733 and 53302. These are states of relative stability and states of maximum construction. As 53302 is not a state of relative stability, then 26733 is one to two possibilities for the number of genes in human DNA. The other possibility is 53131, which is the state of relative stability at [460]

Each level of the paradigm can specify the mechanism of evolution. If [1] is an organism, r the impacting or imposing emission, and (2) the biological antecedent of the organism, then its movement to (1) would represent its mutation, and its further movement to 1 would see this mutation confirmed through reconnection to another aspect of its antecedent factor. In this way a new variant of the antecedent factor is constructed and evolution has occurred.

This mechanism applies to all levels of biology. From the micro-scale to the macro-scale. The paradigm as a whole specifies the formation and functioning and evolution of any one biological organism and every possible biological organism that can exist.


As the specification of the construction and functioning and evolution of things, the materialist paradigm is also the specification of the possible types of things. It is a typology of science. This aspect is derived from the fact that with any given level of construction there are limits to the number of types of things that can be constructed. For example, 92 at [13] represents the limit of the possible non trans-uranium elements just a 7 at [3] represents a limit of the possible gas elements.


Within the infinite space and time of the Universe there are a finite number of types of galaxies, a finite number of types of solar system, and a finite number of planets on which biology is constructed. What can be constructed by the process that is the Universe must exist and re-exist an infinite number of times. Whether or not you want to believe in your infinite existence/re-existence, it's simply a given fact of the Universe.


The Universe is a complete system of evolving and connected parts, and can be treated as a consistent and complete system of logic. If the Universe was inconsistent, then something could both exist and not exist at the same time. The materialist paradigm is a representation of the logic of the Universe. If any one thing that the paradigm completely describes/predicts is shown to actually exist, then everything that it describes/predicts must by the necessity of logic also exist.


The materialist paradigm sees the Universe as composed entirely of a substance that by convention is called matter. It's also based on the existence of the groundstate. And although the paradigm must be thought of as complete, it can never be completely applied.

As the specification of the process that underpins the measurements of AP physics, the materialist paradigm is logically prior to AP physics. It explains those things that AP physics cannot explain, cannot explain adequately, or incorrectly explains. For AP physics the Universe involves four distinct forces, the mechanism and connection of which is inadequately explained. With the materialist paradigm these four forces are not distinct, because all attraction is the result of the absorption of emission via the emission field of objects from the micro-scale to the macro-scale.

Through application the paradigm will allow us to understand things both back and forward in time. We can see into planets and stars. We will be able to understand the details of how the Earth evolved and the possibilities of its future. The same applies to biology. The paradigm gives us the ability to know how and why a particular virus came into existence and how and why it would take a particular course of future mutation.

As the specification of the construction possibilities of the Universe, the materialist paradigm integrates science. Because the basic unit of the paradigm is the smallest knowable unit of matter, its application can give access to details and connections that would be impossible to obtain by technological means.

One day AP physics may accept that its mathematics and measurements are not the most fundamental position from which to understand the Universe. One day it may even embrace the materialist paradigm and proceed with its detailed application.

(2) I've been in touch one with Kevin Hennessy the Principal Research Scientist with the Climate Impacts and Risk Group of the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research. ( When I first brought the materialist paradigm to the attention of Mr Hennessy, his advice was to have it published in a physic journal. I pointed out that physic journals are only interested in work that is within the methodology of the abstractionist paradigm. When I asked him, as an expert, to explain how the Earth retained its atmosphere he would not give me an answer. I've put the same question to many physics experts with the same result. What is clear is that the rate of the reduction in carbon emissions needs to increase over time to counter the increasing density of the emission field of the Earth.
